Basic Grey Herb and Honey Collection

Hello and good morning..

It's Wendi here! We are just 1 week until Expo time! Basic Grey is just one of the wonderful vendors we will see at the show this year!

I'm sharing a layout with you using Basic Grey's Herbs and Honey collection. I completely fell in love with the colors from this line and had tons of fun using it.

I created this page with a photo from Mother's Day a couple of years ago with my three little bunches of love.

I knew I wanted to use the strawberries sticker elements and when I saw them I thought of bunches of strawberries, which inspired my title on the page:

I LOVED the arrow journaling stickers and added tons of distressing through out my page:

I used just a bit of mist and added some splats  too:

Make sure to see what other fun collections that Basic Grey has... They lines are always wonderful to work with...

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!!

Other supplies: Mister Huey mist, Sharpie pen.

Chickaniddy Crafts - NEW Vendor at Scrapbook USA Expo

Hello and good morning...

Today I am sharing some pages that I have recently made with product from a newer company, Chickaniddy Crafts, who is also one of the many NEW vendors who will be able to shop with at The Original Scrapbook USA Expo. If you haven't checked out their two new collections, you really should. They are both fun and totally easy to work with. I actually had the privilege to work in the booth at CHA and had a blast.

The two collections are Twirly Girly, which is a mainly girlie collection that focuses on the life of a girl from birth to 99.. It's mainly pinks, grays, yellows and have a soft, clean look to it:

I use this line for a  sweet little layout of my little one, who is glued to her baby doll right now, and takes her everywhere.

I came up with this page, the photo was taken on a recent Hawaii trip. I fussy cut some of the flowers to make a embellie cluster on the side of the photo and some light misting on the page:

Their second collection is called Date Night, and worked from date nights, to engagement, wedding scrapping and fun married pictures. This line has fun hues of blue, gray, and pops of peach. Really this line can do anything from winter pages, to boy pages, to everyday pages.

I created a more messy page with this line, with yes, some more Hawaii pics.. LOL.. I took a ton and am having a blast scrapping them. One of my favorite embellishments from Chickaniddy are the enamel hearts, which I used on the page:

Chickaniddy Crafts also sells their lines in collections packs which come with sticker elements and an alphas sheet. There are also two sheets that have 3x4 tags which came be perfect for project life. There are also some really great embellishments-  word sentiment stickers, brads, banner stickers and sticker tags. They also have really cool GOLD and SILVER specialty papers that can be run through any die cut machine to cut, make your own title, border punch or emboss... totally cool right??

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

MME "I LOVE YOU" Layout

Hello and good morning...

It's Wendi here and I'm sharing a layout I made using some of My Mind's Eye Lost and Found Heirloom collection. The line is full of rich, deep warm tones and perfect for those love pages and projects. I scrapped the photo of my hubby and I on our recent anniversary trip to Hawaii. We figured 15 years of marriage deserved a big reward.

I titled the page "Totally in Love with You":

I played around with added some triangles and diamond shapes through the center of the page and adding some machine sewing scattered around:

I used a few of the decorative brads and enamel dots ( my favorite embellie) on the page also for accents:

As always, check out My Mind'e Eye to see what amazing products they have out... they always have the BEST collections.. I'm really excited for their new CHA lines to be released.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

Other supplies: Mister Huey's mists, Kreaxions border punch, Sharpie pen, machine sewing.

MME Valentine's Card

Hello and good morning..

It's Wendi here and sharing a recent card I made using My Mind's Eye Lost and Found It Heirloom collection. With Valentines right around the corner, it's the perfect line to make a card for that someone special.

Be Mine:

I cut and layered a pennant across the bottom, and then added my sentiment with some MME mini alphas.

And then mixed and matched some triangle shapes that I cut out and arranged them and then popped on some decorative brads too:

I sewed around the outer ridge to give it more of a central focus point.

Thanks so much for stopping by and make sure to see what My Mind's Eye is up to.

Other supplies: machine sewing, cardstock.

CHA Round-UP A-L

Hello and good morning..

It's Wendi here and I had the amazing opportunity to go to Winter CHA in Anaheim.. I've been before, but this time I was able to be there for 3 days and had a blast. If you haven't gone before, there is a TON to look at. It's 3-4 full convention sized halls full of crafting and supplies.. it is AMAZING and a bit overwhelming at the same time because there is soooo much to see.

Here is a run down of what I saw and fell in love with while I was there... I'll go in ABC order.

First up AMERICAN CRAFTS...

The DIY shop has some really fun basic embellishments and additives for any project...
Dear Lizzy collection: adorable embellies, the stamp set was too cute, and check out the wooden heart "paper"- how fun would that be to add misting, cut apart or make a home decor project with.

BELLA BLVD:
I swooned over the new Molly and Max collection since it's aimed towards tweens- not too baby for kid photos, but not too grown up for teenager photos. Both collections have fun patterns.
check out the pink camo paper:

The embellishments were also very playful and fun- I can't wait to get my fingers on them:

BASIC GREY:
I was really drawn to the fun, bright colors of the Spice Market collection, perfect for spring and summer photos.

and these cool metal embellishments and these fun shapes:

Next up... CHICKANIDDY CRAFTS:
A new company that is in the scrapbook industry with two new collections. The enamel hearts from each lines are so delicious.

They also have gold and silver specialty papers that can be run through any die cut machine or embosser.

COSMO CRICKET:
Has some of the cutest little wood charms out there:

And some really cute organizational containers for holding scrappy goodies or anything else. The containers either come with vintage knobs or opened spaces:

CRATE:
Always has such sweet collections and great embellishments that coordinate, I'm a huge fan of their chipboard pieces.

How cute are these little bow embellies? I might even use them and attach them to my little girl's hair clips.

DCWV:
Always has great displays in their booth. Check out this layers HUGE scrapbook layout.
As always, they have TONS of new Mat Stacks coming out, in almost every theme, color scheme, textures, or holiday line you can think of.

ECHO PARK:
Always have great collections packs, along with some of their mini lines that are coming out. Did you know that Echo Park releases a new collection every month?? That is so cool, and always gives me something new to look forward to.

This soccer line really has me excited to scrap the kids soccer photos this year:

And this collaboration line with Allison Kreft looks so bright and happy:

GLITZ DESIGNS:
Always one of my favorite companies with ubber cool embellies. Washi tape, giant rhinestones and some fun puffy stickers this year.
The Carpe Diem has some little woodland creatures in it.. can you say, What Does the Fox Say?

Here are two of the lines 77 and Carpe Diem:

HAZEL and RUBY:
A newer company out of Utah, the owners are Jayme and Lindsey (who previously was involved with Cosmo Cricket). They have some fresh and new creative products.
Large rolls of washi tape:
Pretty sequin tubes- which are a HUGE cool embellishement right now:

And lots of fun stencils, which are great to do DIY boards with:

JILLIBEAN SOUP:
I always love to see what new soup names they are going to come out with to name their new collections..
Spicy Social Soup has lots of fun embellies, along with a stamp on an instagram camera..

Their placemats are all the rage to use on your projects. They come in several patterns, to be used in whole or cut apart:

Soooooo that's what I have for you today. I still have M-Z to get through next time. There is a TON of cool new product, papers and embellishments calling my name.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day....

Thank You Cards - Perfect for an Operation Write Home Donation

Hello and good morning...

It's Wendi here and I'm sharing some thank you cards with you. With Scrapbook USA being just a few months away, it's the perfect time to start working on a few homemade cards for Operation Write Home.

Here's a batch of quick and easy cards that I came up with.
My first #thank U card wa made using the "Homeroom" DCWV collection, normally it's a school line, but I pulled some of the less themey papers from the line for this card. I also used the "Natural Fibers" paper for the pinwheel.

My second "Thank You" card used the DCWV " Modern Meadow" collection.  For the blue layers, I fuxxy cut a few of the scallop layers on one of the paper sheets and then staggered the scallops.

And my third "Thanks" card, I used DCWV "Sweet Tangerine" collection. I fussy cut the flower and butterfly from the papers and used pop dots to add them as embellies to the card.

On each of my cards I also used my sewing machine, just to personalize the card a bit more. It's amazing how sewing on a card will really grab someone's attention.

So grab your supplies and create a special note to someone and express your thanks.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day.

Other supplies: October Afternoon mini alphas, Kaisercraft bling, Basic Grey brad, machine sewing.

Let It Snow Winter wall Hanging

Hello and good morning

It's Wendi here and today I am sharing a fun easy winter wall decor hanging using some Cricut vinyl. Not only is this perfect to hang up during Christmas time, but since it's more of a winter wall hanging it can stay up through January too.

First I got my supplies, the wood piece was from Joann's for 70% off, so it was just over $3.00 which was a steal.
then I grabbed some craft acrylic paints, some glitter paint and foam brushes:

I painted my wood piece and let it dry, once it was dry, I went and cut out my vinyl letters. First I cut them in cardstock to make sure they worked and fit properly, and then I cut them in vinyl.

I used a Cricut Expressions machine to cut my gray vinyl. I set my machine to blade pressure 3, medium pressure and medium speed. I used the "Jubilee Celebrations" font for the words LET IT and the snowflakes at 1 3/4", and then used the "Plantin Schoolbook" for the word SNOW at 2".

I felt like it needed a bit more, so I added some bling to the snowflake vinyl pieces and some misting to the actual snowflake to give it more of a winter feel.

I love how much you can do with vinyl. There are sooo many possibilites...

Thanks so much for stopping by.

A Jolly yet Whimsy Christmas Layout

Hello and good morning...

I have to say I am a HUGE fan of the non traditional Christmas scrapbook lines. I love aquas, lime greens, and pinks to mix it up a bit. The DCWV Jolly Whimsy Mat Stack... As soon as I saw the colors I just fell in love with it!!!!

I used the Dear Santa paper for my background to get started. This Christmas I was very anxious to meet our little one that was due in December. Her due date was the 22nd and she was actually born on the 7th. Talk about Santa coming early that year... LOL

I actually fussy cut the HO HO HO words from one of the patterned papers and then punched snowflakes and added them throughout the layout:

The second layout is of my daughter who has a Christmas dance recital each year. I always snap a few photos of her by the Christmas tree in her dance outfit. So this line was perfect for it.

The Mat Stack comes with a sheet of tags and spots that are perfect to cut out and add to your project:

I just LOVE these Mat Stacks.... make sure to check out DCWV to see what new things they have in store.

Thanks for stopping by.
